In myths passed on by word of mouth and thereby survived in several versions, human qualities are attributed to gods with superhuman abilities, bringing them closer to mere mortals. Collecting the myths created by different peoples or in different regions underlying literature, a fascinating world was born that we call mythology. Its importance lies in the fact that mythological stories and mythical creatures provide insight into the way our ancestors looked at the world around them.
Using the three chief gods of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythologies, we pay tribute to the anonymous storytellers of antiquity, to common people.
